Has anyone been able to get this working? All I get is error 1000 which is that the thin pc can not find the rdgateway or app server. I know that they are both working and accessible from this machine, I can drag an rdp to the desktop and it runs, I can go to the rdweb site and run applications from there. I have a full windows 7 test bed and running the wcx config file poulates the remot app programs and I can go to the control panel and type in the url and that works. I have turned off all the firewalls, the thin pc is configured for hyper-v management and just about everything else works. As this is the pricnipal use of thin pc - a hyper-v client has anyone got any ideas ? Note to mods - We are going to need a dedicated Thin PC section soon :)

Are you using Windows on a hypervisor like Hyper-V or Virtual PC How thin do you want to make them? Hi thanks for your thoughts but it has nothing to do with the problem. The client is running on hyper-v with dynamic memory 512mb > 2.5gb. Memory would not stop the remoteapp workspace from being set up by the control panel or a wcx file. There is a bug somewhere in the remoteapp side as I have made another thin client on hardware, run the same configuration script from the Technet repository and that does the exact same thing. I really hope this gets picked up by a mod as ThinPC goes to SA clients on they 1st July.

Desktop Windows are better off with static memory. Allocate the same amount for each client. Windows 7 works perfectly with dynamic memory ! I have 10 desktops that all happily sit idle on 512mb and ramp up as they are used during the day. XP doensn't like it and they are all set to 1024mb. This still does not address or have anything to do with the issue of REMOTEAPP AND DESKTOP CONNECTIONS not working.

what exactly is not working here? are you not able to RDP into the server from WTPC? Are you not able to connect to the VMs ? Is remoteFX not working? Please provide more details on what is not working for you. Sumesh P - Microsoft Online Community Support

Remoteapp and Desktop Connections is not working. RDP works, RDWeb works, it all works except Remoteapp and Desktop Connections. The group just does not populate using either the control panel or using a wcx file. RDP client on thin pc is Shell / Control version 6.1.7601. NLA supported, RDP 7.1 Supported

There is an issue with the client configuration file/control panel in WinTPC. I have confirmed that this is an issue with the product. We do not yet have a workaround or solution. I will update the thread if a workaround/solution is found. Sumesh P - Microsoft Online Community Support
