Windows 7 System Image Backup (WBADMIN) incremental backup issue
Hello, I am using wbadmin to create an image backup of a data volume under Windows 7, but I noticed it's performing a full backup each time (taking almost 4 hours to backup a 480 GB volume to a USB-attached drive). I set the registry key below which is supposed to keep track of the changes via VSS on the SOURCE volume. However, setting the OverallPerformance value to '2' does not seem to affect the job as it still runs a full backup. Is it possible for WBADMIN to perform an incremental, block level image backup using VSS under Windows 7? Does the following registry key only apply to Server 2008? HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Windows Block Level Backup\OverallPerformanceSetting WBADMIN start backup -vssfull -backupTarget:m: -include:e: -quiet Thanks, Joseph
