I have been running quite happily, solid as a rock for the last 6 months. I attempted the regular update in January.. and immediately started getting the D1 BSOD. I restored to the pre update checkpoint, and all has been well.. I just installed the latest updates, and am back to the D1 crash daily again. how can I find which update is causing this problem so I can find a solution? this is an Asus P8P67 system board, ethernet on board, (1gig chip, running at 100mbs), I7 not overclocked, 32gig ram. all the drivers say they are at the current level. Bios on the system board has been stable since last summer. as noted, I can back out the changes and get back to stable again. I did NOT install the updates for in/out of kernel, KB2685811 or KB2685813).

Never use drivers from MS update. Reinstall drivers - use original from NIC card (or motherboard) vendor. Regards Milos

thank you. I do notice the that the driver changed.. I don't know which update did this however. I have installed the latest vendor driver and will report back.

thank you.. I re-installed the vendor supplied driver. AAnyone know why the Windows Update changed to the MS driver instead of the installed vendor driver? no issues so far since reinstalling the vendor supplied driver
