Hi, I installed Windows 7 yesterday and everything went well. I started the computer this morning, did the Windows defender scan, and then changed the User Access Control setting which required a restart. I restarted the computer in safe mode and returned the UAC to its original setting and tried to restart the computer but it gets to the welcome screen and just hangs What can I do to get around this problem? So will it start in safe mode still? If so run msconfig and remove everthing from startup and try booting if still no go then try removing all service that are not needed. Most likely have a driver hanging you up.Tim Comes

Thanks for your reply Tim. Funny thing is when I returned too the computer later the sme day it started without any problems and has been perfect ever since!Regards, Ian
