Windows 7 Starter on HP Netbook: Games won't run
I just purchased an HP Mini 210-2070NR net book. It comes with some simple games, such as Spider Soliaire, Hearts, etc. When I cick on the application icon it runs for a second then stops. Nothing else happens. The games won't load. I've tried runing the compatibility troubleshooter, but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions on getting the games to load? The netbook has Windows 7 Starter loaded on it.

You need to contact HP Technical Support. You paid for a warranty by HP when you bought the netbook and HP is responsible for supporting your system. Did the game work before? Try a clean boot in case of some software conflicts. If the issue persists, also contact the HP for further research. Hi, Did you try the Clean Boot I suggested? It could help you find if there's any conflicts. If it's your new netbook and encounter this issue, contact the OEM could be the best source since it's still under warranty. Not willing to pay $50 for this answer from Microsoft. You don't pay Microsoft a penny. You use the warranty you already paid for and contact HP Technical Support! What's so complicated about using your warranty! http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/help/contact-supportPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This statement says it all! "Not willing to pay $50 for this answer from Microsoft." Microsoft is a multi-billion dollar company, why can't it show good-ill to people who buy computers loaded with their platform. Is everything about the dollar? I wouldn't pay $50 for someone to tell me why I can't play a game of solitiare. My heart goes out to the people who are left without a sail when it comes to trying to get advice. What sort of person are you Bill Gates, that you would allow Microsoft to become like everyother heartless big corporation?

Apparently you never heard of a License Agreement! Microsoft supports Retail version of Windows. System manufacturers that sell computers with the OEM version of Windows are under a License Agreement with Microsoft and are solely responsible for support of their ENTIRE system! That support is a WARRANTY by the manufacturer when the system was BOUGHT!Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
