Windows 7 Sharing with XP & Vista
I have two computers in my home and one laptop. The Computers are running XP & Vista, the laptop is running Windows 7 Ultimate. I started to setup a home network, so that all the files on the Windows PC's could be shared. The setup between the XP & Vista computers was fine. But once I enabled sharing on the laptop,it started asking for psaswords between the VIsta machine and the Windows 7 Laptop. I can access the XP machine (Without password & username request) on both windows 7 & VIsta machines. Just can't connect to the Vista from windows 7, or Windows 7 from Vista....weird to me. Any help would just be fantastic!

Hi, Please check “Password protected sharing” is turned off on Windows 7: To turn off Password Protected Sharing: =============== 1. Click Start, enter "Network and Sharing Center" in the Start Search box . 2. Click "Change advanced sharing settings" in the left pane. 3. Make sure that "Password protected sharing" is turned off. Once it is turned off, the computer will access the share folder with Guest account. In Windows Vista and Windows 7, Everyone user group does not include Guest. Please also give Guest account full control permission for the shared folder.
