First, please check the information in this knowledge base (KB) article: Error message when you change security settings for a folder that contains a child object for which you do not have access permission: "Access is denied" If the issue persists, try changing the owner of the D: drive to SYSTEM which is the default setting and see if the issue can be resolved. To do so: 1. Right-click the D: drive, select Properties -> Security tab -> Advanced at the bottom > Owner tab > Edit. 2. Highlight SYSTEM in the list. If SYSTEM is not in the list, click "Other users or groups", type system, click "Check Names", find SYSTEM and then click OK. 3. Put a tick in "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects", and Apply -> OK. 4. Click Yes when you receive the Security pop-up window then click OK to the Close/Reopen message. 5. Now go back to the Properties -> Security tab. 6. Click Edit -> Add. Type in your User Account Name in the box under Enter the objects name to select. 7. Click on Check Names -> OK. 8. Click on your User Account Name to highlight it. 9. Check the box for Full Control -> Apply and OK. Hope this helps.
