Windows 7 SP1 map drive problem.
Hi, I have 3 windows 7 prof computer, two computers with sp1 and one is without sp1. Problem is when i dissconnect my LAN connection and after 5 minites reconnect the LAN my map driver is not open error is "The specified server cannot perform the requested operation." but without SP1 windows 7 is able to open network driver with out any problem. i cannot formate the sp1 computer. Please help me to resolve

Hi, According to the error message, it indicates that the server is unavailable. Can you ping host computer of share folders successfully when you reconnected? Can you access the shared folders in other computers via UNC path? If the operations fail, it would be related to the name resolution. I suggest you check if this issue still exists in Safe Mode with networking. Hope it helps. hI, yes system is pinging properly, i am able to telnet 139 port also. yes Other computer able to access the network drive. i think this problem with SP1. what i do i formate the computer install windows 7 prof again without SP1, on that time it working properly afer dissconnect and reconnect. But when i install SP1 againg same problem come. i am 100% sure this is the SP1 problem. If any one is having solution please mail me. Rajeshwar.Prasad@hotmail.com
