You should try uninstalling KB2476490, then reinstalling it (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2476490)
It looks like it can't find a couple files that are part of the package. This is unusual, you might want to consider running chkdsk /r before you install SP1 to make sure you're not having hard drive problems.

Hi briwlls97212,
As Zac said, it seems some files are corrupted or missing from this package of update. Try to uninstall and reinstall it then run System Update Readiness tool to check if it works.
If still have the similar issue, follow there steps manually fix the corrupted/missing file:
1. In your logs: these file cannot be repaired:
servicing\packages\Package_for_KB2476490_RTM~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.0.mum
servicing\packages\Package_for_KB2476490_RTM~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.0.cat
These files need to be coppied to %systemroot%\Windows\Servicing\Packages
2. Take ownship of this folder. Run cmd as administrator, then input the command:
takeown /F c:\Windows\Servicing\Packages /D y /R
cacls c:\Windows\Servicing\Packages /E /T /C /G "username":F
3. Collect the missing file from your logs. Manually download the update KB2476490
Use this command to extract it: Expand -F:* UpdateKB2476490.msu x:\DestinationDirectory
Then you will see the file: UpdateKB2476490.cab
Input the command: Expand -F:* UpdateKB2476490.CAB x:\DestinationDirectoryCAB
You need to capture two files: update.mum and update.cat
4. Rename the file update.mum and update.cat like:
Package_for_KB2476490_RTM~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.0.mum
Package_for_KB2476490_RTM~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.0.cat
5. After the above, run the System Update Readiness Tool to confirm if the issue is resolved.

Thanks for the response, unfortunately a straight uninstall failed, so I'm onto the second longer solution.
I'm good all the way down to the last part of step 3, I extracted the CAB to a "Temporary" directory, in that directory there's both "update.mum and update.cat" and in that same extracted directory there's also files aready named "Package_for_KB2476490_RTM~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.0.mum"
and also "Package_for_KB2476490_RTM~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.0.cat" from the extraction.
So what do I do from here?
Do I copy the two extracted files named update.mum and update.cat to C:\Windows\servicing\Packages then rename those two files to;
Package_for_KB2476490_RTM~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.0.mum
Package_for_KB2476490_RTM~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.0.cat
Or do I copy the extracted files already named;
Package_for_KB2476490_RTM~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.0.mum
Package_for_KB2476490_RTM~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.0.cat
To C:\Windows\servicing\Packages?
Thank you in advance,
Brian

Hi Brian,
Directly copy the extracted files already named:
Package_for_KB2476490_RTM~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.0.mum
Package_for_KB2476490_RTM~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.0.cat
to the C:\Windows\Servicing\Packages
After that, run the System Update Readiness tool to confirm the result. If still the similar error, please do the same process.

Thank you, this work perfectly, copying these two files to the C:\Windows\Servicing\Packages directory prompted to overwrite two small files. Re-ran the readiness tool, no errors, then was successfully able to install SP1.
Is there anything that needs to be undone i.e. resetting ownership on the Packages directory?
