Please ensure that the Bitlocker is disabled. I have encountered the same issue but on W7 Pro on an Enterprise network.
Which W7 version are you using.

This is how you can fix this problem!
Delete the following file:
C:\windows\winsxs\pending.xml
Since Windows security will not allow you to do this, hereunder the procedure to take ownership of the file:
Run a command prompt with “Run as Administrator”. Type in the following commands:
takeown /f C:\Windows\winsxs\pending.xml
cacls C:\Windows\winsxs\pending.xml /G <YourUsername>:F
Delete the file.
Reboot the machine, then manually install the WUA 3.0 downloadable from here

Hi,
From CBs log, it seems your manifest components corrupted, the installation process cannot load the file automatically. Since you have run the System Update Readiness
Tool, please upload the CheckSUR log to SkyDrive.
Also, try to rename
amd64_cbd1d280174df1d8231c5bc76c8b8d16_b03f5f7f11d50a3a_6.1.7600.16543_none_af5edd514f6c74bd under C:\Windows\winsxs\Manifests

Niki

Hi,
From the CheckSUR.log, I notice the
winsxs\manifests\amd64_cbd1d280174df1d8231c5bc76c8b8d16_b03f5f7f11d50a3a_6.1.7600.16543_none_af5edd514f6c74bd.manifest
cannot be repaired.
Based on the current situation, I suggest repairing Windows 7 with installation disk. It will replace the corrupted manifest file.
In-place upgrade
