Dear All,
I had Windows 7 SP1 Release Candidate 1 installed on my laptop. Today, tried to install the generally released version - during the process I was asked to manually remove the installed SP1 RC1, so I did that using Control Panel. The process happenned strangely
quickly, without any user interaction and without asking for reboot. I have rebooted anyway and attempted to perform installation of the GR SP1, but received following error message:
"Service Pack 1 setup can't identify the version of Windows on this computer"
I have installed System Update Readiness Tool, but without much luck.
Found similar question on the forum where it was advised to collect following logs:
Please run the Windows Explorer and go to the folder "C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\" and
copy all files to your document folder, also copy the setupapi.dev.log from the folder
C:\Windows\Inf and the file "C:\Windows\winsxs\poqexec.log " to your document folder (otherwise you can't upload it), zip all files into 1 ZIP and upload the zip to your SkyDrive [1] and post a link here.
I have posted mine at

Appreciate any advice.
Cheers, Yatzoo.
