Well, with a lot of effort, the local printer is redirected to the remote desktop computer in my setup. I now face a problem, however. On the remote desktop, I need to be able to print from a program that does not use the default printer. Instead, you must
manually select a printer, which is all fine and dandy. Except for one thing. Every time I connect to the remote computer, the local printer uses a different port. For example, one time it will connect using TS006, and then the next time that port will be
shifted to the next port, TS007 and it will be renamed to reflect that change. This program then, is still using the old name and cannot use the new printer.
Does anyone know how to keep Printer Redirection from using a new port at each login? It seems ridiculous that it should add a new port to use for redirection every time I connect to the remote computer. Both computers are running Windows 7 Professional.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
