In our organization we modify a registry key located at [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}] (the my computer icon) to display the pc's name. this makes remote support much easier on tickets.In windows 7 it seems they've changed the permission of this key, and in order to apply the registry setting you must first take ownership and apply the new security settings. I changed the owner of the key on my master image, however it seems to have been reset upon sysprep...Does anyone have an idea how i can take ownership of this key, change the permissions and apply my new setting to windows 7 machines? I think I can change the permission of the key from the Group Policy Computer Configuration under Security Settings but taking ownership i'm not sure. John Whites
