Windows 7 Randomly Signs Off and Screen Goes Black
I am running Windows 7 ultimate from a new install on a Lenovo Thinkpad T400 with duel screens. This set has worked flawlessly for about 6 weeks. Over the weekend, my system has started to show the following problem. The screens go black
and I can hear disk activity on the computer for a few seconds and then it goes quiet. When I hit a key or move the mouse, the disk noise resumes and the screen comes on but the system is now back at the user login page. The system then appears
to work normally for a few minutes until the screen goes blank again. This has happened while I was browsing the web, in reading email in Outlook, and typing in word. I have not noticed it happening while I am typing (i.e. in the midst of typing
a word) yet but has happened within a 30 seconds of a pausing in typing. It is definitely a new behavior from last week.

Check the Windows "System" log in the Event viewer to see if there's any record related to this problem and provide us with more details about it.

Hi,
How about the issue with single screen? What did you change or installed recently?
If possible, please use
system restore to the point before the issue. If it doesn't fix the issue, I suggest updating the video card driver and other devices driver from manufacture's website manually.
If the issue persists, test the issue in
Safe Mode and
clean boot.
