Windows 7 RDC and Multiple Monitors
Host: Windows 7 Professional laptop
Client: Windows 7 Ultimate Desktop with 2 monitors (primary 1920x1080, secondary 1680x1050). NVidia 285 video card.
Configured RDC to connect and use multiple monitors. No matter what I do though it just uses the resolution of my primary monitor for the RDC window on the desktop connecting to the laptop.
I'm sure it must be something basic I'm missing but for the life of me I'm not seeing it.

And you're connecting to a Windows 7 virtual machine? What are the details of the VM?

No, I'm connecting to a Windows 7 laptop as specified in the OP. I posted in this forum because I found a similar, though different, post about RDC and Windows 7 here. If this is the wrong forum, please move the thread where it should go. Don't want to cause any unnecessary clutter.

Hi,
I would like to suggest you perform the following steps to configure the resolution for the RDC.
1. Launch RDC and click Options.
2. Switch to Display tab.
3. Move the indicator under Display configuration to adjust the display resolution.
4. Click Connect to check the result.
