Windows 7 RC download
I have recently dowmloaded the RC release of Windows7, but each time it gets to 99% the integrety check it says there is a fatal error with the download and needs to be re-downloaded. I have now done this 3 times but still get the same message. ??? Problem with download site or software.P de Santos

My download this morning completed with no difficulty, so it's not a universal problem with the download site.

Worked fine for me too, and faster than I expected since I figured the pipe would be pretty much at capacity. Averaged about 15mbps on our 50mbps connection.

delete history in IE options. then try again. I think it's a junk in the cache prob. Kris

Hi P de SantosI don't have an explanation for this behavior? As of 7PM PDT, I haven't heard of any problems with the download servers, except that they are slow because of the enormous traffic. The only thing I can suggest is that you disable the installed AVsoftware and any spyware software that might interfere. Also try not to use the computer while the file downloads to prevent any possible conflicts with the download.Let us know if you are successful.Thank You for testing Windows 7 RC Ronnie Vernon MVP

I sorted mine. I was using firefox to download it at first, the first 4 times, and that didnt work. Tried it in IE, and it downloaded fine.

it didnt work for me at first in IE, but i tried Kris' solution and it worked fine; they really should have a secondary download method; pretty irksome that it was so difficult to try it... anyway, go with Kris' thing, if you have the same problem i did, it should be fixed
