Windows 7 RC can't access Windows Update
Neither from system control, nor fromthe Windows Update website, my system running on Win dows 7 RC 64bit can't access the Windows Update function. Run from system control, I get an error with error code 80072EE2, and when trying to access it via http://update.microsoft.com, the browser is re-routed to http://v9.update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/vistadefault.aspx?ln=de, and there it hangs forever. These problems also occur if I switch off my Norton 360 firewall and the windows firewall. Any other website is fully accessbile from my comuter, and the Windows Update service is also accessible from other computers running on Vista, using the same standard gateway and DNS server. Any ideas?Additional Information: if I try the same address on IE8 running on XP, I get HTTP error 403 (access denied)..... any idea?My system data:Dell Precision M4300 laptop with 4GB RAMWindows 7 RC 64bitNorton 360 version 3 installedDomain Network with Windows 2008 SP2 Server

Have you tried again lately? 80072EE2 is usually an indication of a temporary problem. Check out this Knowledge Base article for further details and tips. - Nick
