Windows 7 RC and printing via Home Server
My Setup:1. Windows Home Server (32 bit), with an HP LaserJet 2200d connected via parallel port2. Workstation with Windows 7 RC (64 bit)installed.Conditions:1. Win7 RC sees ALL shares from WHS, including the printer.2. Directory shares are fully functional... I have installed software stored on the shares... Cannot install a driver for the printer. Yes, I HAVE waited for Windows Update to complete. It seems to locate a driver but cannot install it.3. Both Vista Ultimate and Win7 beta were completely functional in this setup, including printing.I waited a week before posting here, checking for solutions every day. I have tried installing the latest drivers on WHS, as well as on Win7, with nosuccess. As stated above, Win7 has never had a problem seeing the network printer... just loading a driver for it. I have gone through the processof allowing the OS to search for the drivers via Windows Update, to the point where a message says the driver is downloading, then the messagesaying a driver could not be found.I havenot seen many posts about Win7/WHS interaction... Has anyone been able to print from a similar configuration? Thanks in advance.
