Windows 7 RC and Wireless Router Crash Upon Starting Full Screen Game
Everything in the RC works great, however the one problem that I continue to run into is running WoW. Here's my predicament: -Start the game, then after loading has finished, windows freezes, no opportunity to ctrl+alt+del or start task mgr. -Upon manually restarting, the router that I have is not found, and in order to remedy this issue, I have to reboot the router. I've tried a different video card, but the issue persists. I feel like its something to do with my Rosewill PCI wireless card. Thanks Win 7 RC (7100) Intel i7 2.66 Asus P6T HIS ATI 4870 Rosewill RNX-G300EX

Please run Windows Update and confirm that you are running the latest updates for your network adapters. If you have the latest updates and you are still seeing problems, please reply with: --- make/model of the Wi-Fi network card. You can get this by typing "netsh wlan sho dr" on the command prompt ----make/model of your router --- problem symptoms and step by step reproduction steps for problem to happen--- Does this happen over wired/wireless or both Thanks,Alok ManchandaMicrosoft Corporation

I forgot to say that the problem was with the x64 version of the RC. Tried last night with the x86 version and everything worked without a hitch. Will try a fresh install of the 64bit and see if anything changed. rosewill rnx-g300ex Netgear WGR614 Issue presented its self when running WoW, after the character selection screen. I have only tested it over wireless, I am not able to move my box to obtain a wired connection.

I get the same problem on Windows 7 RC x64. I'm using an Edimax 7128G which uses a RaLink chipset.Over a wired connection it is fine - I suspect it's the Ralink drivers at fault but I don't think there are any new ones around.

I have also noticed a similar problem. Windows 7 64bit RC. I find it can occur when going into full screen mode, the screen simply goes black and the computer stops responding. The Monitor will begin search for signaland I have to reboot forresolve the problem. I have seen it happen with FEAR Combat,Windows Media Center, and XBMC. Running over Gigabit LAN - Intel Quad Core Q9400- 4GB RAM-Intel 82567LM-3 Gigabit Integrated LAN- Linksys by Cisco WRT310N Router, connected through D-Link DGS-1005DGigabit Desktop Switch - ATI RadeonHD 3650 Graphics controller, June 152009 drivers. Thanks!

Well I was going to say that is usually a video card driver problem but I see you have the latest driver. You may want to reinstall it though, just in case.

Perhaps your wireless card is using a 32 bit driver?

I would agree, I can't find any clues to what is causing the problem though, nothing is logged in the Windows Event Viewer (except that Windows was improperly shut down). I'll see if I can reinstall the drivers, but it has occured with whatever drivers shipped with the RC, the previous ATI update for Windows 7, and the one released yesterday.

I think they use the same port.It only happens over wireless connection. If I plug in a network cable and disconnect from wireless it runs fine.Cheers.

These are my current driver details. I think I got them from the ralink site. I was using the edimax ones before, that came from the page you mentioned.
