I may have spelled that wrong and I'm sorry if I did. My question or comment is this:With windows 7 RC, Microsoft is using "Telematry" system to allow the computers to send information about Windows 7 RC with out the user doing anything. Is that "Telematry" system always running on the computer? It seems that since I installed Windows 7 RC, while the system appears to run good, my ping on my online games is almost 200. I normally hit the server I play on at about 15 - 20.Thanks, let me know.

Taztwr -There IS debug code in the RC. It's job is to monitor for crashes and when one happens, send that information to the programmers. But it shouldn't be doing any sort of constant chattering with the home office. That wouldn't be very productive. The servers set up to retrieve these reports would be overwhelmed with a DDOS. You might want to check a few other things - 1.) Check the networking tab on the Task Manager - Right-click on the task bar and select Start Task Manager. It should flatline at 0 when you're idling.2.) You might also want to try a tracert to the game's web site/IP address. Click the Start Orband type "CMD" and select the command prompt. When it opens type in "tracert www.gamewebsite.com" or "tracert 192.168.1.54" - of course, without the quotes and substituting the actual URL or IP address you used for PING. It will tell you how many "hops" it takes to get to the site. You can also see where your connection is bottlenecking.3.) You might also want to visit a site like www.2wire.com and use their bandwidth meter to see what sort of thruput you're getting. While the results of this test will vary depending on time of day any drastic slow downs at your ISP can become quickly evident.4.) You might also want to make sure you've got the latest NIC driver for your network card/socket.
