Win7's default network is WORKGROUP. Set your XP's network to WORKGROUP and reboot as required. After reboot you will see Win7 from your XP. You'll need to browse for the printer manually by typing in the address for the printer on the Win7 machine. If your account on Win7 is password protected, you will need to 'login' by typing in a login and password in the popup. Then all should be good to go.wolfieWin7 RC 32bit OS, AMD Athlon64 X2 Duak Core 3800+, ASUSTeK M3A78-CM MainBoard, 4GIG Kingston Ram, Seagate 160G SATA, Seagate 250G SATA, 2 Seagate 500G SATA's, 1 SATA DVD-RW and 1 EIDE DVD-RW

You also need to make sure the Windows 7 system is NOT in a HomeGroup, regardless of what Workgroup it's in. HomeGroup is a "private" networking environment supported only with Vista and Windows 7. When a system is in a HomeGroup only other systems in the same HomeGroup/Workgroup can communicate with each other.GA P35 DQ6 Mb, Intel Wolfdale 8600 3.33Ghz C2D CPU., 4x2Gb Mushkin DDR2 1066 PC2 8500 Ascents Memory Mods., PNY-nVidia GE Force 8800 GTS (640MB), 4-Western Digital Caviar SATA(2) HDD's (internal), 1 EIDE-USB External; Hauppauge PVR 1600 TV tuner, Dual Monitor: (1) Standard up top, (1) WideScreen below; Altec Lansign Speakers...

Thank you for the repies. I have the HomeGroup in Windows 7 RC turned off and I changed the Workgroup name to HOME. Both the Windows 7 and WinXP computers have the workgroup name set to HOME. All the passwords are turned off and the encriptions are set to the lowest settings. As I mentioned the XP computer see's the HOME network, but does not see the Windows 7 RC computer. The Windows 7 RC computer see's the XP computer without problem.

Trainbuff416, I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with networking your W7 and WXP machines. I know how furstating that can be. W7 has a network utitility. When you go to your network sharing center, you'll be able to make your computer visible. If you have any more issues in the future, the best site for all the up to date news on the product is found at the Windows 7 support forum, at micorsoft.com/springboard. The site will also give you all sorts of useful information, such as the whats new in the RC feed.or you can alsouse talkingaboutwindows.com as an additional resourceThanks, v-glferg@microsoft.com
