Windows 7 RC1 Download
The Windows 7 RC1 Download via your Java-Download-Application does not working correctly! Every time I tried to download the release candidate for Windows 7, your download manager first downloaded 100% of the file and then got an permanent error, which has the result that the download manager deleted the download immediately and was re-starting the download again and again. Until now this happends every time of the 24 times I tried to get the release candidate. So to prevent this for the future, can you tell me how I get a direct link to the file without using the MS-Java-Download-Manager? I'm worry that this permanent error has is origin in the MS-Java-Download-Manager an I would be happy when I could get a link to the release candidate without using the MS-Java-Download-Manager. Kind regards

Yes, I tried Firefox 3.0.10 and MS IE 8.0. The result is always the same!

I have the same issue. I tried a download in Firefox under Vista and amother under firefox in Linux (SUSE10), also going through IE8, au natural. The best answer I saw (and I'm not convinced it is correct) is the download is corrupted by the amount of users trying to acess the file.If this is true, then the download manager is at fault. BUT that can't be true if the attempt was tried, bypassing the manager. It could be a hardware issue, but there is nothing to support that. I am presently downloading this on a different computer. If this resolves, I will post it in these pages. In the meantime, I am going to try "Windows 7 download solution found" as a earch criteria.Good luck with this.

Build 7100 is the one and only RC.The next commonly available build is RTM (7600), available now if you have a TechNet or MSDN subscription, or a Microsoft Partner, etc.

I also have this issue, the download fails at 99% but only reports "error" nothing more. The download is then deleted and starts again. This has now happened about six times. This was also a problem with the previous version and I suspect that its the download manager itself causing the issue, can it be downloaded without using this manager?been around to long

Yes, you can if you are using the Download-Manager of the Opera-Browser.
