I cannot install the ATI Catalyst Driver package for both builds x86 and x64 versions of windows 7. I get a blue screen about 25% through the process. Then sometimes this bluescreen appears to corrupt my user account. After the restart, my user accountdoes not have permissions to access my computer, control panel, or any other major windowsresources. After creating a new account, these problems cease. Hi Zac, what version of ATI Catalyst Driver did you try to install? Please make suer that the driver that you are trying to install is the latest. Hi Zac,Its very important to login as administrator before you double click the Catalyst installation file. To login as admin followStart, all programs, accessories, right click on command prompt and choose run as administrator, in the cmd window write: net user administrator /active:yesand hit enter. log off or switch user to enter the admin account.If the installation will keep hanging you can try the beta driver "9-2_vista64_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_75977" from ati.amd.com website. its works for meATI EAH3650Win 7 64bitRegards,It's all about Windows. zac, mine worked fine using ATI_Catalyst_Windows7_8.612 i downloaded last night from ati website... so far everything runs better compared to the default ati driver of RC... games tried so far warcraft III, left 4 dead and counterstrike source with better performance... also, i usually run installers by right-click then select run as administrator option just to make sure...
