Windows 7 Professional Workgroup issues
We have just migrated our main central PC to Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. We have three other workstations using Windows XP Professional 32 bit. They are all tied together in a workgroup. Main file storage for documents is on the W7 64 bit sytem and shares wonderfully over the workgroup network. I will notwe that the documents are all set up in the "public" files. The issue has arisen with the addition of a software program that allows additional users via drive mapping to the specified folder in Programs. I have shared the folder in question on the W7 64 bit to allow the other users access. They can all see it, but are denied access when attempting to map to it. It is as if the W7 system has not "fully shared" the folder. It is not restricted on the share. Any thoughts????
