try renaming your SSID in the router. This will cause Windows to make a new network connection. Jerry

Hey guys so I have a problem, I've tried lots of fixes and none of them worked. My network is a home network and everything used to be working fine until the power cut in my house. Then it came back and cut again. Then the internet worked. However it didnt work on my computer. Everything else was working around the house. My brothers computer had the internet working fine and the wireless was working fine, but my computer kept saying Identifying.... Unidentified network. I have never had this problem. I thought something was wrong with the internet cable so I tried to plug it into my laptop and the internet worked on my latptop. I tried it on another and it also worked. I put it back in my computer and it again kept saying... indentifying... unidentified network. I thought something was wrong with my windows so I did a system restore. It didnt fix the problem. I reinstalled Windows 7 and it also didnt fix the problem.. I tried to delete the network device from device manager then restart my computer... Then it automatically installs but also it didnt work.. I tried to disable and re-enable but it also didnt work.. you see all the stuff I did... I tried to reset the router but it also didn't work... I also tried to place my cable in another port... again nothing... Is there anything else I can do..?

Hi, * open Control Panel>>Network and sharing center manage wirless connection (on left side of screen this should be a panel) remove all saved wireless credentials. Connect Wireless Now, it should ask you for security password (make shur it should be correct) Note: if this also doesn't work use below method. * Can you put manually IP address? do you know what IP network are you using? * use PC which has working internet connection, open command prompt type ipconfig /all see the wireless ip, use same ip range but not the same (ip must be unique) harjit
