Hi! On laptop I have windows 7 professional (x86). Laptop is not in domain. Local users does not remember log in passwords. I have tried to create new user and set password, but windows just forgot it. I can log in without typing any password. I even tried to delete users entries at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList Where seems to be a problem? thank you!

Have you just tried to hit alt ctrl del when logged into the account and selected change password?

I tried, and it said something about complexity requirements of password. I could not change it. In local policy the password requirements were set to minimum, and i tried like everything (Pa$$W0Rd302%mvk...). Then i gave up and load an image... Thank you anyway :)

can you define the problem better? It is really hard to understand the issue you are having. You can log into the PC with no password but user does not remember the password they had set? So what is the problem something is asking for a password now and you are not able to provide one?
