Windows 7 Pro 64bit, BSOD when exiting sleep mode (Fresh Install)
Hello, i have recently built my own computer: Asrock M3A UCC AMD 480X Socket AM3 6 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 3.4GHz PALIT GTS 450 SONIC OC 1024MB GDDR5 Dual DVI VGA HDMI Out PCI-E Graphics Card 2x2GB of RAM DDR3 1333MHz Memory Kit 1.5V CL9 Samsung HD103SJ Spinpoint F3 1TB Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm 32MB Cache Samsung SH-S223 22x DVD±RW DL & RAM SATA Optical Drive I originally had Windows Vista home premium 32bit installed on the computer (I did not experience any BSOD whilst this operating system was installed for about a month) I then decided to upgrade the computer to windows 7 64bit and ever since I have been experiencing BSOD whenever the computer goes to sleep manually or automatically. there are no programs open when i put the computer to sleep manually but the error still occurs. the error occurs when waking the computer using they keyboard, then when powering back up nothing shows for about 10 seconds, then the boot screen loads and then windows will boot, once loaded windows 7 will show the pop-up box windows recovered from an unexpected error. This error occurs every time it is put into sleep mode. below is some information about the BSOD as shown by blue screen view. Ok a quick update so that i can let you know what i have done so far: Manually Un-installed my graphics card drivers from within device manager and then reinstalled the drivers from Nvidia website (they are now the latest version) Ran chkdsc to ensure that there are no errors on my hard drive checked that the latest version of Directx is installed, but not sure how to update it??? Currently the BSOD is still occurring. Is there anything else that I can try? Thanx :-)

I suggest you disable or remove antivirus temporarily. After that, remove the video adapter driver, then download and install the latest driver. If your computer is from OEM, please download the driver from OEM website. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Hello Sorry Andre.ziegler I miss understood here is the memory.dmp file http://cid-40f52480db675be2.office.live.com/embedicon.aspx/.Public/Memory%20Dump I have tried reinstalling windows 7 again (since I hadn't done much since I last installed it) and then installed the drivers that came with graphics card, this made no difference. I then tried removing one of the sticks of ram out of curiosity and it was able to sleep and exit sleep mode normally. I then inserted just the other stick and again it was able to sleep and exit sleep mode normally. i then re-inserted both sticks of RAM and again it blue screen. I am currently running memtest86+ but it has not currently found any error but will post back later to let you know whether it has once i have finished the test.

I hate to tell you bro, but I have done all the same stuff you have done pretty much and I have concluded it's the video card it's self. It doesn't seem to like Windows 7 64x very much. I even emailed tech support at Palit and so far no response, that was about a week ago. I tried both the 260 nvidia driver and the 266 nvidia driver and both got me the same results you are getting. As soon as I yanked the card and used my onboard mb video card ALL these problems disappeared. I really think Palit is a sham and I will never buy another video card from them. There should mark on their card "NOT Windows 64x compatible" because it certainly doesn't seem to be. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but at least now you might have an idea of what your problem is and won't have to beat your head against the wall any longer. Regards, Zach

the dump tells me nothing useful. The kernel pools are fare away from the limit. I don't understadn why you get the STATUS_INSUFFICIENT_RESOURCES error code. You must contact the nVIDIA/MS support."A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/
