Windows 7 Pro (64 Bit) and AirPort Express for iTunes
I have a Windows 7 Pro computer with a D-Link Router. I have an AirPort Express that I configured with a Mac computer. I want to use the AirPort Express from my Windows 7 computer for playing music through speakers via iTunes. I can log in to the D-Link router and see the Airport Express at 192.168.2.7 (airport-express-one). I open the AirPort Utility (from my Windows 7 machine) and it tries to scan for Airport Wireless Devices but is unsuccessful (Airport Utility was unable to find any AirPort wireless Devices)... but.. within the Airport Utility I can go to File-> Configure Other. I enter the IP address and the password that was created and I can connect to the device. I can see the status is normal (Green) I have access to all the menus and can configure the device without any problems. It is configured to 'Join a wireless network' and is connected to my home network. If I open iTunes, I should see a pop-up menu at the bottom of the screen (this works on the Mac!). Unfortunately it is not working on my Windows 7 computer. I tried some of the suggestions on this site (Changing Local Policy>Security Options> Network Security: Lan Mgr Authentication to 'Send LM /LTLM Response AND changing LmCompatibilityLevel to 1). Neither of these works. I imagine once I can get the AirPort Utility to find the AirPort Express during its scan process then I should be set to go. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, Since the issue is Airport Express related, I suggest contacting apple discussion at the same time. https://discussions.apple.com/community/wireless/airport?view=discussions I suggest disabling security software and firewall on Windows 7. Here are some similar scenarios. https://discussions.apple.com/message/11561278?messageID=11561278#11561278?messageID=11561278 http://superuser.com/questions/129473/airport-express-discoverability Note: Since the website is not hosted by Microsoft, the link may change without notice.
