Windows 7 Pro (32-bit) intermittantly dropping internet connection while XP does not
We have a corporate native Windows 2003 network on which we are upgrading the workstations to Windows 7 from Windows XP. All the Windows XP computers are working fine but the Windows 7 computers are periodically loosing connectivity to the internet and their connection to the off-site exchange server. All local mapped drives and shared printers are working perfectly. All the IPs are manually input. It started a week ago as a complete loss but our offsite corporate network administrator believes the problem to be in our site's MDF and specifically in the ARP cache and he has it set to refresh every ten seconds. His fix has made an almost total loss into and more managable occasional loss of connectivity for the Windows 7 computers. But the Windows XP computers are humming right along with no loss whatsoever. Can anyone tell me why Windows 7 is having this problem?

Are there any traces in event logs? How are W 7&W XP connected to Internet? Any log on edge firewall/router? What does it mean "dropping" - any connection, or connection to targer specified by FQDN? Regards Milos
