Windows 7 Print Spooler stopping
I'm running Win7 on a Lenovo T400 laptop which connects to a Active Directory domain. The only printers installed are network printers running on Win 2003 server edition. I have several different printers to choose from and each time I try and print I get one print job to work and then the print spooler stops. The logged on user doesn't have the rights to stop and start services due to the structure of the domain. The user cannot have addtional rights added to their ID. To fix the issue I have to run services.msc as a different user, start the service and then one more job can print then it stops again. I have looked at some threads for solutions but haven't found any that are close to the described problem. I'm also running Win7 on a Lenovo T61 and haven't had any issues with printing to the same printers, however my ID has more admin rights then the above user. Any suggestions are welcome!!

As a simple workaround you can configure the service to restart on failure. The reason the spooler crashes however usually is a faulty driver. Please check whether the hardware vendor provides an update and install updates for the workstation. Take a look at http://support.microsoft.com/gp/printing_problems?entrypoint=WHHT, which has even an automatic tool to help you out. Also take a look in other thread on the forum regarding prin spooler issues, some contain very specific issues with might be alike to yours! http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7hardware/thread/53be1b7b-70f1-40d7-9164-c2d198319744 MCP/MCSA/MCTS/MCITP

two options: one: try to renew the user profile, or try to print from another a user profile as a test two: try to reset your printer spooler to defaults: more info on the print spooler here : Troubleshooting your printer and print spooler The computer Manual
