Windows 7 Premier
I installed from Vista on my laptop last weekend and got everything up and running. Tried to back up to CD's this morning and the first CD took 45 minutes and said it was 25% complete. Asked for second CD and took several minutes to format it, started backup and got to 28% and gave message the CD wasn't good and to insert another one (brand new lightscribe CDs) The drive wouldn't open to take the other one out and had to end up stopping the back up and shutting the machine off.

My suggestion is to buy an external hard drive or a hard drive docking station (about 30 bucks) and a sata drive to plug into it (1.5 terabyte runs just over $100). drives are cheap and mostly error free compared to DVD's - much easier to manipulate data that way. And to add - MUCH much faster and time is money. I backup in manual mode until Microsoft adds more features to the backup so I can schedule backups to multiple locations, but manual or automatic, external hard drives is a no brainer. DVD/CD's are too finicky on media. Oh and to add, we'll assume you meant Windows 7 Home Premium as there is not such operating system as Premier ;) but we knew what you meant MCSE, MCSA, MCDST [If this post helps to resolve your issue, please click the "Mark as Answer" or "Helpful" button at the top of this message.
