Windows 7 PC,s randomely lose mapped drives
This is only happening with windows 7 computers.. i logon to the network. it maps the drives fine .. a short time after, i click to access the drive, and the following message appears... "Windows cannot access \\serverna\sharename" I click "details", i it gives me the following : Error code: 0x80070035 The network path was not found. When i map the same drive via command prompt I receive the following: System error 53 has ocurred the network path was not found. I am starting to get weird behavior with windows 7 users to mapped printers too... When i first set them up with printing, they had no issues.. then all the sudden, when the go to print, the would get a message asking to trust the print server computer, and then you would see the drivers downloading like, it was the first time the connected to the printer server...... Such issues can be caused by firewall. I suggest you disable firewalls on your computer and on the server computer, then check the result. If the issue persists, please download the latest network adapter driver and install it. If the issue still occurs, please to change NTLM authentication level. The policy is: Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options\Network security: LAN Manager authentication level Please change “Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated”.Arthur Xie - MSFT

I found an article on Netapps website about a bug in the version of ONTAP sofware version 7.2, which fixes the above when upgrading to 7.3Rob Davis
