Windows 7 Offline Files Do Not Sync New Files
I have a user who is trying to use the Offline Files feature in Windows 7. We have made his personal network folder (which is mapped in Computer) available for offline use. There is only one problem: if a file is created in that network
folder from a different source other than his PC, it will not sync. For example, if he scans a document from a copier to a folder under his network folder, that scanned document will not be available offline. Or, if I create a file under his network
folder from the server or from my PC, that file will not be available offline. Otherwise, everything works as it should. How can I fix this problem??

After working with this longer, I've discovered that I can get the files created from another source to sync when I right-click the network folder (or sub-folders) and select Sync->Sync selected offline files. This is good, but I need this to
happen automatically. Help!

Ivan -
Thanks for your reply, but the links you gave me apply to Windows 2000 and Windows XP, respectively. The user has Windows 7, as mentioned in my original post.
After doing further research, I did find out that sync'ing is not automatic. To get as close to that as possible, I've set sync'ing to occur after 1 minute of the PC being idle.
Thank you for at least responding to my post, Ivan.

Hi,
First please notice that synchronization is not real-time behavior. It occurs after connecting, disconnecting, or a period of time. Confirm if the content syncs after re-login.
If issue still occurs, continue with your replies.
