Windows 7 Network Problem : One computer cannot connect to others
Hello Everyone, I would like to thank ahead for any input that my help me resolving the issue. Here's my current setup ComputerA : Windows 7 Ultimate ComputerB : Windows 7 Ultimate ComputerC: Windows XP laptop NAS Server All the computers are in home network and everything used to be fine. I think every since one of the windows updates, computer A cannot connect to other computers. For example, computer B can access computer A's share, NAS, can computer C without any issues. Same goes for computer C the laptop running XP. Computer A is signed into same homegroup yet cannot map any network drives nor access other shares in the same network. Everytime I try i get " XXX is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource...." I've done everything I can trying to resolve the issue. Any input would be helpful. Thank you...

thanks JL. Workgroup names are all standard names assigned by windows 7 and are identical. I'm out of all ideas. My only hope might be reinstall but I'd hate to do it.

Hi, I would like to suggest: 1. Open the HomeGroup troubleshooter and Network troubleshooter to automatically troubleshoot the problem. 2. Check if Computer A sets the network to Home. Homegroup only works on Home network. 3. Un-join Computer A from Homegroup and re-join it. 4. Try accessing the shared folder via UNC path: \\IPAddress\Shared_Folder More reference: Why can't I access my homegroup?
