Windows 7 Media Player
How do I adjust windows media player color and brightness, contrast and brightness? When I try to watch a video, the color and hue are saturated making it impossible to watch a DVD movie. If I watch the sample video that comes with Window Media Player I get the same result. If I click pictures and view a picture, it looks perfect. I have had the computer for seven months and it has been like this since day one. In the sample video I have gone into Enhancement and Change Settings, when I move any of the controls, nothing happens, it is like they are locked. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Please try the following changes. 1. Open Windows Media Player, press Alt, select Tools -> Options… 2. On Performance tab, clear the box of "Turn on DirectX Video Acceleration for WMV file" 3. Update the graphic card driver from manufacturer's website manually. If the issue persists, you can reinstall Windows Media Player and install a codec for testing. a. Click Start, type windows feature in the search box, select turn windows features on or off. b. Open Media Features, clear the option for Windows Media Player. c. Restart the computer, check the option back. d. Windows 7 Codec Pack: http://www.windows7codecs.com/ Note: Since the website is not hosted by Microsoft, the link may change without notice.
