Hello all thank you for your input in advance. Set up: Dell Inspiron 1564 running windows 7 home premium (this is the computer I'm trying to connect wirelessly) Cisco Linksys - E1000 Wireless-N Router Motorola - SURFboard Cable Modem Scenario: I currently have two computers and an Xbox 360 connected directly to my Linksys router via Ethernet cable with a Lenovo laptop and iPhone connected wirelessly, these devices have no problem connecting to the internet until I turn my Dell Inspiron 1564 on and try to connect to my Linksys router wirelessly. As soon as my laptop starts to identify my network I lose internet connectivity on every device in my network, at this point my laptop will go through three stages; My connectivity map in network and sharing center will show a yellow triangle with (!) between my computer and an "unidentified network" resulting in no internet connection. After a few minutes my connectivity map in network and sharing center will recognize my network but still no internet connection (message reads: limited access) After another minute or two my computer will successfully connect to my network and the internet but this connection does not last and I sporadically return to step 1 where I'm connected to "unidentified network" While all of this is going on I have no internet connection on any devices connected to my network (wireless or wired), about 30 seconds after I stop attempting to connect my dell all of my other devices regain internet connection. Unsuccessful Steps taken: Checked on updates for my wireless card, no new updates available Unplugged and reset modem and router Disabled windows firewall Checked for windows updates and installed This problem is really starting to confuse / annoy me; I cannot begin to understand why my laptop will fully connect to my network one minute and then disconnect the next. Furthermore I cannot understand why this process is booting all of my devices offline. All input is appreciated.
