Windows 7 Home Premium Networking Problem
New Windows 7 Home Premium machine that I use as a media center. It is connected directly to a WRT54G Linksys router with the latest firmware. The computer is connected to the internet and is able to access all of my other pcs which are windows
vista. But no one can access the windows 7 machine. The other machines connect wirelessly. We can see the media center, but are unable to connect. I can ping all devices on the network except the win7 machine. The router can ping
all devices except the win7 machine. I have tried multiple solutions that are on these boards. Sharing is enabled, discovery is enabled, All the ports that are recommended are open, the firewall has been configured ( and turned off at times to
see if it makes a difference which it does not ). Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi,
To troubleshoot the issue, please perform the following steps.
1. Temporarily turn off firewall and antivirus program on the Windows 7 machine. Then, please ping the Windows 7 machine on other machine. What’s the result?
If there is any error, please post it here for research.
2. Restart the machine in Safe Mode with Networking and check the result.
Thanks,
Novak
