Windows 7 Hangs after login
Hi, I am using Dell Inspiron N5010 Laptop , my windows 7 occasionally hangs when i login after boot . It keeps on showing the wait cursor and no desktop is shown . To resolve i have to shoutdown the laptop manually and reboot in safemode. After that restart in normal mode and it start woring . Please tell what is the problem , I have checked all the hardware is working fine . regards.

You could go to the safe mode menu and choose repair your computer then press enter. One of the options will be startup repair. If Repair your computer isn't listed as an option, then your computer doesn't include preinstalled recovery options. You can also run system file checker by typing in sfc /scannow in the run box. Leave a space after sfc and the /.

Try a clean boot. ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/331796 ). It it boots normally, follow the thebugging steps give in the article. Jerry
