Windows 7 Genuine?
Yesterday, I bought this computer 2nd hand, and I am doubting that the copy of Windows 7 Installed on it is genuine. Today, when I put the battery in it, I realized that it has no OEM sticker, and later, while going through the "Documents" folder, i found
a program called "Windows 7 Loader" along with a .txt file with every edition of every version of windows for every computer company with a product key starting at Windows Vista. Here is what the first few lines of it looked like:
##################
#OS|Type|Brand|Key
##################
Vista|Ultimate|Acer|[Key Deleted by commando98]
Vista|Ultimate|Advent|[Key Deleted by commando98]
Vista|Ultimate|Alienware|[Key Deleted by commando98]
Exactly what should I do?
It doesn't feel right just deleting the keys.txt file, I feel like something has to be done about it.
And doesn't the liscence agreement say something about that you have to leave the OEM sticker with the device as long as the OS for that key is installed?

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to desktop -
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
- **in your own thread**, please
Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!

Go into control panel under system and see what it says in there. Will be near the bottom. See what it says under Windows Activation. Don't know what else to tell you. If you have doubts you can go buy Windows that you know is genuine. You can also try
Windows Update and see if it will update.

It's going to be Microsoft's issue to litigate with the seller of the PC, but if you aren't running a genuine version of Windows, you should probably get a genuine one on to the system.

Hi ,
In addition, you can check the information which provided in
How to tell.
To make sure you have the right licensing for your Microsoft products.
If your Windows 7 is invalid, you
need to contact the PC reseller for this issue and report counterfeit
to Microsoft. Please install the legal Windows
as the Mike Burr said.
