Windows 7 Games not responding
I have a 3Gb processor, 4 Gb of Ram and a NVidia 6200 Turbo Cache graphics card with the latest drivers, and a clean instal of Windows 7 Home Premium. When I select any game such as Chess Titans they don't respond. I've deselected them, rebooted, reselected and still the games 'don't respond' I've applied all the patches available. Every thing else works Word, IEetc.

Hi,You can reduce Display Hardware Acceleration to troulbeshoot it first.1. Click Start Menu, type DESK.CPL in the Start Search box and press Enter.2. Click Advanced Settings button.3. Click Troubleshoot tab, click Change settings button. NOTE: If the User Account Control window pops up, please click Allow to confirm. 4. Change the Hardware acceleration to None. 5. Apart from the device side, this issue can also occur because of corrupted system files. I suggest using the System File Checker tool (SFC.exe) tocheck the issue: 1. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. 2. Type the following command, and then press ENTER: sfc /scannow The sfc /scannow command scans all system files and will recover the corrupted ones.3. Please restart the computer and recheck the original issue.

In addition, you may test the issue in Clean Boot. If all of the above steps cannot fix the issue, would you please upload the following information to SkyDrive and provide us the link for analyzing? System Information ======================== 1. Click Start, type in msinfo32 (without quotation marks) in the Search bar and then press Enter. 2. Choose Save from the File menu and save it as an NFO file. 3. Find the file, right-click on this file, click "Send To", and click "Compressed (zipped) Folder". 4. Send the compressed file to us. Good luck!Arthur Li - MSFT
