Windows 7 Folder Redirect and Home Drive Mapping over VPN
Hello, I'm hoping I can explain this without making it too confusing. We're using a logon script to map the Home Drive (H:\\filesvr\Network Share\%UserName%) for all users in our environment and using folder redirection for the "My Documents" folder. With XP this has worked great for our mobile users who connect regularly using VPN. However, with our Windows 7 users we are seeing an issue when users connect remotely through VPN, where the Home Drive (H:) appears to be mapping, but the H: Drive folder contents are greyed out. All other drives map correctly and are accessible. I'm pretty sure the folder redirect is causing some issue with this Home Drive, but I'm not sure how to go about fixing it. If folder redirect is disabled, and I make a hard mapping to this folder location, all directory items are accessible. I have also been able to access all folder contents at times on different WiFi networks, leading me to believe it's related to bandwidth speed. Has anyone seen this before? I imagine there is a GP setting that can be made, but not sure what that would be. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
