Windows 7 Enterprise Remote Assistance Failure
I have searched the forums and haven't seen any problems relating to this so I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I have Windows 7 Enterprise x64 installed and use Remote Assistance to help my co-workers remotely. If someone sends a remote assistance via email without a password (XP) I can successfully connect. But when they specify a password (XP) or a password is require (Vista) or supplied (Win7) I cannot connect to their system. I get the "enter a password" box but when I enter the password given it says it "is not correct". I have ran sfc, ran the Windows 7 startup repair, and looked through the logs without success. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Troy

Hi,As I know, you'd better make sure that the users use an SMAPI-compatible e-mail client application ontheir computers and the password is six characters or more and relayed separately to the Helper. Moreover, they should enter the e-mail address of the Helper in the "To" field to send the message to the Helper. I don't need the basics or the obvious given to me here as my users use remote assistance on XP with no problems. This problem is not your simple "they aren't using Outlook", "remote assistance isn't enabled" or "make sure they are using the correct email address" issue. This problem is is along the lines of something screwed up on the helpers machine trying to connect to the remote assistance. Troy
