Windows 7 Enterprise
Dear all I have just bought a new Toshiba Satelite with Windows 7 Home Premium installed. I want to change to windows 7 enterprise which we have at the office. By installing this will I lose all the programs installed (antivirus, drivers, etc)? Thanks for your help

It appears that you cannot perform an in-place upgrade from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Enterprise. The in-place upgrade is the process that preserves the applications, files and settings. Yes, you will lose any applications that you do not have installation disks for. In the case of an anti-virus program, you can typically download the version from the vendor if you have a current subscription key to activate it. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd772579(WS.10).aspx A clean installation will be necessary. Toshiba support will have the specific drivers to download. You can copy any data to external media and\or use the files and settings transfer wizard. I would use the custom method and transfer only data with the wizard. I hope that helps you. Post back with any further questions.
