Windows 7 Dulpicate monitors mode
Hi,I'm having problems using the duplicate monitors mode. Extend monitors works fine. When I try to use dulpicate or clone monitors mode one dispaly will look fine but the other monitor (Plasma HDTV) will not be fullscreen. I have no problems with Vista or XP. Has anyone else had this problem?I'm using an ATI HD 4850 with 1G ddr3 memory. Thanks in advance.

Hi mrlopezThis particular scenario, with the aspectratio of some monitorshas been reported before. It was determined to be compatibility issues between the graphic drivers, monitors, and W7.Microsoft and the major graphic chip makers are working closely to get this and other issues fixed as the beta progresses.Hope this helps.Thank You for testing Windows 7 Ronnie Vernon MVP

I have the same problem. ATI HD 5770. Can't get it to work in Clone mode under Windows 7. AMD Support team suggested using Powerstrip or Ultramon, to fix this, but I tried and I tried and I can't make it out how...Works great under XP. Any suggestions?

Did you install the optional Eyefinity componenet, look on the driver page and scroll down. Vote if answered or helpful, I am running for Office (joke)! IT/Developer, Windows/Linux/Mainframe Need a CPU to finish the new server, AM2/AM2+/AM3

If you mean Hydravision, yes, I have installed the whole package here: http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx?p=win7/windows-7-32bit and I see Hydravision in the CCC menu. I saw no eyefinity on this site. So, do you think I can manage doing it using Hydravision?

Can you please be more specific. I wasn't able to find a way to get fullscreen on the secondary display (Theater or clone mode with full screen on the secondary display). Where is that option?

Can you please be more specific. I wasn't able to find a way to get fullscreen on the secondary display (Theater or clone mode with full screen on the secondary display). Where is that option? Hi Try this. Open the Catalyst Control Center. Click the Graphics drop down menu arrow at the top/left. Select Desktop and Displays. In the lower section of the window where both monitors are shown, click the drop down arrow for the monitor that is not displaying full screen and select Configure. Place a check mark in Enable GPU scaling. Select the Scale image to full panel size option. Click Apply/OK. Hope this helps. Thank You for using Windows 7 Ronnie Vernon MVP

Thank you for your detailed explanation. It's not what I was after, though. It's good to use this Scale image to full panel size option, but only AFTER the Theater mode with fullscreen on the secondary display option is enabled. The meaning of the Scale image to full panel size option is that I can get an image at 1080p on the secondary display, but I'm not concerned about resolution. My problem is not the size of the image on the 2nd display, but the fact that it's not cloned to fullscreen to the secondary display, and left small or minimized on the 1st display. i.e. I'd like to have my dvb software minimized to system tray or at least run in the background so that I can work on my 1st display, and watch the satellite channels or video content (WMP or MPC or any video player) fullscreen on the TV (2nd) display. This is the so called Theater mode for ATI and Cloned mode for nvidia, which they both DON'T support nowadays, beats me why... I was able to run it under XP with the November/December 2009 Catalyst driver, but not under Windows 7. And I have tried all sorts of third-party software, like Powerstrip, Ultramon... to no avail.
