I have tried several times to download Windows 7 from the Microsoft site and continue to get a scree3n that starts the download but immediately goes to error status and stops?

Steve:Are you using a third-party web browser by any chance? Microsoft's Windows 7 RC Download Center uses an ActiveX control to manage the downloads, and this would only work in Internet Explorer. If you've tried in Internet Explorer and still get an error, could you please post the details of the error message you receive?

I am using IE 8. If you would send me an email address that I could reply back to with a Screen Print of the error, that would be helpful.

My browser will not allow me to add http://www.technet.com to my Trusted Sites. It says I can only add https:// sites!

theirs a checkbox that says require https in that same place, uncheck itBenjamin Niaulin

Ok, I did that, but it made no difference. Still the download stops immediately.

Steve Winning,It sounds like you are not running Windows 7 yet, but are simply trying to download it for the first time? If so, this isn't <yet> a Windows 7 question. Please provide as much information as possible for us to help you. For example, what operating system are you currently using to begin the download? Are you in a corporate environment that perhaps has the site blocked? Do other machines in the same environment have the same issues?Please explain.
