Windows 7 Domain Mandatory Profile Issue
Hello all, I work in a High School and we have an issue whereby when the stusents enter their credentials to log on to the domain, if they wait for a few seconds, unplug the Network cable, the Profile continues to load and if they then plug it
back in when the desktop appears, they have a kind of mixed desktop based on the mandatory profile on the server and the default profile of the PC which in turn opens up the full start menu as Group Policy fails (WMI Errors in Event Log) due to there
being no network connectivity so nothing applies to stop them from essentially breaking the PC's. Has anyone had this issue before or could suggest a fix for this? This is obviously a security risk as the students appear to have full rights to
the PC whereas we have it set by group policy etc to lock everything down.
We also have some XP machines and if the steps above are carried out, the same thing happens with that
We currently operate at Windows Server 2008 functional level and all of our DC's are Server 2008 32bit /Server 2008 R2
Thanks in advance
David

Apologies, the website appeared to crash when I posted this question. So I re-did the question without realising it actually did not crash.
