Windows 7 Disable Shutdown Dialog Box
Is there anyway to disable the Shutdown Dialog box (shutdown -i) without disabling the entire shutdown command in Windows 7? Or does anyone know what the app is called that is launched when the shutdown -i is called? My thinking is by disabling the dialog box that will help deter individuals from shutting down machines they are not suppose to.

Hi, To answer your question, the launched application is "Remote shutdown dialog" which can restart or Shut Down a Remote Computer. For more information about the feature, please refer to the following article: Restart or Shut Down a Remote Computer and Document the Reason If you would like to disable the feature, please disable the Remote Registry Service by the steps from the link below: Enable the Remote Registry Service Thanks, Novak
