Windows 7 DirectAccess firewall detects public network in intranet
Hello I need to resolve this issue! I am working with a customer with a DirectAccess solution. Windows 7 enterprise are installed on my test Laptop from fujitsu (Lifebook S series with a HSDPA mobile modem for test).I have set up the infrastructure with DNS(ipv6), DHCP(ipv6), AD(ipv6), full ipv6 colocation with ipV4, CA server and a NLS server on the inside. My problem is Windows 7 firewall, it connects with the customers LAN (official ipv4 addresses NOT routed to DA servers internet side), the Windows 7 firewall does not detect the LAN as Domain network, but it detect the LAN as public. With firewall in public modus GPO is not running, no NLS and local DNS is functional. I am locked outside domain resources. How does Windows 7 firewall locate the Domain network and how does it find public networks?I need to understand how this works? Regards Ivar
