Everytime i either move items from or to desktop or delete items the items delete or are moved but the icons remain wherever or do not show up appropriately. I have to physically go to the desktop and hit F5 to refresh it to make it show up correctly? Any Thoughts?

this happens most of the time. most likely it's already a known bug. For now, we really just have to go to the desktop and hit f5 or refresh.

This problem was caused by logitech setpoint software on my machine. Uninstalling Setpoint fixed it on my machine. Other software/drivers may also cause this, but if you're using setpoint, conduct your own experiment and post your results.
