Windows 7 DNS lookups stop working intermittently
We currently have two Lenovo A58's with Windows 7 running. Fairly basic setups and everythings up to date. Our problem is that it seems to stop DNS resolution at random. For a fair amount of time nothing is wrong and all websites are able to load, then DNS fails and we have to reboot them in order to get sites loading again. In regards to diagnostics we've tried the below:DHCP assigning details / Statically assigning details (both IP and DNS) - no changeTrying different DNS providers (OpenDNS, ISP DNS) - no chanceUpdating NIC drivers (Marvel Yukon) - no changeRemoving remote access software (Teamviewer) - no changeRemoving ESET security software (Business AV) - no changeWhen the DNS stops we find the below:Can successfully ping IP addresses local and remotePinging host names fail immediately with cannot resolve hostnameNSLookup on hostnames fail immediately with a cannot contact DNS errorWe've also tried running netsh int ip reset and the winsock reset commands with no joy. Unfortunately it seems that regardless of what we do when it stops working (changing IPs, disable/enable NIC etc) the only way to get it working again is to reboot.Any help or suggestions appreciated.
